What The Blonde One Is About
On the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Gabriel moves in with Juan, a colleague from work. Shy and closed off, Gabo does not answer Juan’s wandering hands or his looks. A steady procession of women leaves Juan’s bedroom and his machismo stays exactly where it is, but the attraction between them becomes impossible to deny. Marco Berger builds the whole thing out of glances, pauses and the distance across a room rather than out of dialogue. Patient, quiet, and drawing its tension from concealment.
