What The Central Warmth Is About
The residents of an apartment building decide to have central heating installed: they find the workmen, sign the contract and pay in advance. The men turn up, start knocking holes in walls and floors, and then disappear, leaving nothing behind but the holes. In a panic the residents go looking for them, and in the end they are left with only one option, which is to think their way out of it themselves. Vladimir Yanchev wrote and directed the ninety one minute Bulgarian comedy, in which solidarity emerges out of a disaster, and it is counted among the best loved comedies the country has made. Naum Shopov, Konstantin Kotsev, Tatyana Lolova and Georgi Cherkelov are in the cast, and it opened on 20 November 1978.
