What The Fire Inside Is About
The story of Claressa Shields, who grew up in Flint and became the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing. What makes the film interesting is not the medal but what follows it: winning does not open for a young Black woman boxer the doors it opens for her male counterparts, and the real fight begins there.
