The Girl from Yesterday

Thu is a boy at secondary school. He is always getting into trouble. He is not doing well in his lessons either. A new student arrives in the class. The girl’s name is Viet An. Thu falls for her and tries to get closer. He finds it hard to talk to girls, though. He was not like that when he was small. As a child he could talk easily to anyone. Someone from those days has stayed in his mind. He was friends with a neighbour girl, Tieu Li. He never managed to tell her how he felt. The story moves back and forth between then and now. The film is adapted from a novel. Miu Lê and Ngô Kiến Huy appear in the hundred and twenty minute film, a Vietnamese production Phan Gia Nhat Linh finished in 2017.
