What The Hare Census Is About
The film is set in a village called Yugla. The daily order of the village is broken one day. The reason is a government clerk who arrives. The clerk is called Asenov and he is a statistician. His task is to count the hares in the district. For that he goes to the village mayor. The mayor is called Bay Georgi. The mayor gathers the men of the village for the job. That same day all the men are out in the fields. Among them are the mayor, the teacher and the vet. But not a single hare shows itself all day. So the whole effort comes to nothing.
