What The Heroin Busters Is About
Heroin traffic in Rome has got out of hand. Mike Hamilton of Interpol believes the local police cannot handle it and puts his trust in one of his own: an officer named Fabio whose identity nobody knows. Fabio gets inside the ring and wins the leader's trust. But past a certain point, people start working out who he is. Enzo G. Castellari's film is one of the known examples of the Italian crime cycle of the 1970s. Fabio Testi and David Hemmings take the leads. What the film is most remembered for is a long chase through the streets of Rome and into an aircraft hangar. The music is by Goblin. The telling does not make drugs attractive, but what it is really after is action.
