The Hollywood Complex

Every spring children arrive in Hollywood. All of them want to be actors. The number who arrive runs into the thousands. The same migration repeats in the same season every year. What brings them is pilot season. New television shows hold their casting in that stretch of the year. Adult actors take that road on their own. The children bring their families with them. A good many of the arrivals stay in the same place. It is called the Oakwood. The Oakwood is a complex built for temporary housing. The complex is set up for families chasing this line of work. The documentary is set in that complex. The account stays there through a season. Dylan Nelson and Dan Sturman made the ninety minute work. The American documentary was finished in 2011.
