The Mountain Within Me

Ed Jackson played professional rugby. An accident changed everything. His spinal cord was badly damaged. The injury very nearly killed him. He survived, and his body was not what it had been. The documentary follows what came after. The recovery is long and full of turns. Ed decides to go up into the mountains. He climbs in Snowdonia first. Then he goes to the Alps. After that come the Himalayas. Every summit is a mental test as much as a physical one. The summits are not really what the film is about, though. The daily difficulties waiting for him at home are part of the story too. Ed Jackson appears in the eighty nine minute documentary, a British and American co-production Polly Steele finished in 2024.
