The Pasta Detectives

Rico is ten and lives with his mother in Kreuzberg, Berlin. He calls himself deep-gifted: plenty comes into his head, just never in order. One day, trying to find the owner of a piece of pasta he found in the street, he meets Oskar. Oskar is highly gifted, wears a helmet at all times, and expects the world to fall on him at any moment. The two go after Mister 2000, the kidnapper working the city, who takes children and demands two thousand euros from their parents. Then Oskar disappears. Neele Vollmar directs, adapting Andreas Steinhöfel's novel. Ninety-five minutes. It is a children's film that takes fear, loneliness and being lost seriously.
