The Rati Horror Show

The documentary is about the case of Fernando Ariel Carrera. Carrera was sentenced in Argentina to thirty years in prison. The film’s argument is that the conviction was not a mistake but the result of a file put together on purpose. Step by step the documentary describes how evidence at the scene was altered and how the case was built. How the case was presented in the press is also a subject, and the film argues that the presentation was steered. All of this is the film’s own claim; the documentary sets out to prove it rather than to weigh it. At the same time it shows Carrera’s daily life in prison. The account stands openly with him. The eighty six minute Argentine documentary by Enrique Piñeyro and Pablo Tesoriere was completed in 2010.
