The Royal Tailor

The Joseon court has a royal tailoring office where who wears what is fixed by rule, and the rule does not move. Jo Dol-seok, the master tailor, has given his life to that order. Then a young tailor arrives at court who is gifted, fast and indifferent to the rules, and when he solves a problem for the queen he becomes suddenly visible. That is precisely where the master's rage begins. Lee Won-suk tells a period drama through clothing: what you wear is what you are, and when the clothes change the power shakes. The costume design is the strongest thing in it. Han Suk-kyu and Go Soo face each other, with Park Shin-hye as the queen. It uses the shape of palace intrigue and puts craft and labour at the centre of it.
