At the centre of the film is a highwayman. The man is a master with a sword. But he is not an ordinary robber. He has set himself a rule. The people he robs are thieves. What he takes he gives out to the poor. The business unsettles the criminals of the region. It cuts straight into what they earn. The criminals come together. They join forces to stop him. He does not step back. He has a companion at his side. The account is built on that conflict. The film proceeds through its fight scenes.
