The Wedding March

The film takes up the institution of marriage in four separate parts. In the first, two well off families arrange a wedding at the notary for Camilla and Lutero, their pedigree dogs. In the second, a husband wants to sleep with his wife and she not only refuses but sets about putting him off. In the third, a man in New York is encouraged by his wife to join meetings with other couples. In the last, it is supposed that in the near future the problems of married couples will be settled with a human shaped mannequin. In Marco Ferreri’s eighty three minute Italian film Ugo Tognazzi leads every part, with Shirley Anne Field and Alexandra Stewart in the cast. It was completed in 1966.
