The World Is Funny

The film is set in the town of Tiberias. The place is in the north of Israel. At the centre of the account is a family. The siblings are estranged. Each of them carries a trouble of their own. Zafi wants to be a writer. She has difficulty finishing her stories. The endings never come. She joins a writing group. The members tell their own stories. The film shows those stories too. The account moves between two planes. What is real and what is imagined run together. The account runs along many strands. What the film is after is healing. Eli Finish and Avi Grainik appear in the one hundred twenty two minute film, an Israeli production Shemi Zarhin finished in 2012.
