What The Wrong Arm of the Law Is About
London crime has settled into an arrangement: thieves carry no guns and nobody resists arrest. Then a new gang turns up. They dress as police, reach the scene of a robbery first, and take the money off the thieves. Nobody can report it. With the arrangement broken, the unthinkable happens: the police and the criminals start working together to catch the fake officers, and set a joint trap around an armoured-car job. Cliff Owen directs this British comedy, with Peter Sellers in the lead alongside Lionel Jeffries and Bernard Cribbins. Ninety-four minutes. Sellers runs a fashion house in a French accent by day and a gang by night.
