What Those Who Kill - Shadow of the Past Is About
The Copenhagen police have a special unit for serial killings: the detective Katrine and the forensic psychiatrist Thomas. A file from Thomas's past is reopened. Years ago, as a young psychologist, he held back from committing a patient who kept obsessively drawing a traffic accident. Now the scenes in those drawings are actually happening. Birger Larsen's Danish film was made as a continuation of the television series of the same name. The familiar tone of Nordic crime is here: cold light, characters who say little, closed interiors. Rather than show the crimes in detail, the telling looks at the question of responsibility. Jakob Cedergren, Laura Bach and Lars Mikkelsen are in the cast.
