To Kill This Love

Magda and Andrzej both failed to get into university. They do not want a year to go to waste. Both of them take jobs. Magda starts cleaning at a hospital. Andrzej works as a mechanic. The days are all alike. Tiredness settles over them. What they want is simple. A place of their own and a little independence. The way to it looks closed. In time they start making compromises. The compromises keep growing. They begin to resemble the adults they had objected to. The film is about Poland in the seventies. Janusz Głowacki wrote the screenplay. It opened on 10 December 1972. Jadwiga Jankowska-Cieślak and Andrzej Malec appear in the ninety two minute film, a Polish production Janusz Morgenstern finished in 1972.
