To New Beginnings

A group of old friends meets on New Year’s Eve. They do this every year. The same customs, the same memories, the same rituals come round again. But one of them is missing. Martin died in an accident years ago. His place is still empty. This year Nomi brings her new boyfriend along. Nomi used to be with Martin. The new man is called Finn. Finn has little sense of which questions should not be asked. He is happy to raise what the others leave alone. He turns the tight little group upside down, and by the end of the night a new beginning looks possible for each of them. Tuva Novotny, Anders W. Berthelsen, Lars Brygmann and Birgitte Hjort Sørensen appear in the ninety five minute film, a Danish production Paprika Steen finished in 2025.
