What Tomorrow's Weather Is About

Seventeen years ago a man left his family and withdrew into a monastery. Now he comes back out and meets the world and the people he abandoned. The country has changed, his children are grown, and none of them is anything like the version he remembers; each has an account to settle, and he has prepared for none of it. Jerzy Stuhr directs and plays the lead. He turns the film into a satire of Poland in the early 2000s: new money, new morals, a pace at which nobody stops to think. The measures the man brought out of the monastery fit nowhere here, and that mismatch is where the comedy comes from. His son Maciej Stuhr is also in the cast.
