Tora-san, His Tender Love

Kuruma Torajirō is a travelling salesman. Everyone calls him Tora-san. New Year is coming and he is home again. His family decide it is time he settled down. They arrange a marriage meeting for him. The good intentions backfire completely. Tora-san walks out of the house. He turns up at a remote hot spring town. He stays on there doing repairs and odd jobs. He falls for the woman who runs the inn. She is the general manager of the place. He is, as always, in far too much of a hurry. How it will end is clear from the start, and the film takes its time anyway. This is the third film in the Tora-san series. Kiyoshi Atsumi and Michiyo Aratama appear in the eighty nine minute film, a Japanese production Azuma Morisaki finished in 1970.
