Tramontane

Rabih lives in a small village in Lebanon. He is a young blind man. He sings in a choir. He earns his living correcting documents in Braille. One day he applies for a passport. A problem comes up during the application. The identity card he has carried all his life is false. The news turns his life upside down. He sets out to learn who he is. He travels the country from one end to the other. Along the way he meets people who tell him their own stories. What they tell only multiplies his questions. The gap in his own past grows wider. Barakat Jabbour and Julia Kassar appear in the hundred and five minute film, an Emirati, Lebanese, Qatari and French co-production Vatche Boulghourjian finished in 2017.
