What Tribes Is About
There is a Marine Corps training camp. A drill instructor runs it. He does the job the old way. Men who were conscripted now come to the camp as well. That does not sit well with him. One of the new arrivals is a hippie. The young man was drafted and does not fit the army. He will not take the rules as given. He answers orders in his own way. The instructor sets out to break him. The young man does not bend. The other recruits watch. The tension between the two spreads through the camp. The film was made for television. Darren McGavin, Earl Holliman and Jan-Michael Vincent appear in the ninety minute film, an American production Joseph Sargent finished in 1970.
