Tucked

An eighty year old drag performer is still going on stage. An unlikely friendship forms between them and a much younger performer. Each of them has their own trouble: one is wrestling with identity, the other with mortality. As they get to know each other, each works out separately what being themselves actually means. The film keeps old age and the stage inside the same story. The account neither pities nor celebrates; it leaves two people as they are. Derren Nesbitt and Jordan Stephens take the leads, with April Pearson and Steve Oram also in the cast. Jamie Patterson’s eighty minute British film was completed in 2019.
