What Tum Bin Is About
Shekhar, a businessman, accidentally causes the death of his associate Amar. Weighed down by guilt he decides to look after Amar's company and the people left behind, and then falls in love with Piya, Amar's fiancée. Piya, meanwhile, is about to marry someone else in order to save the company. Anubhav Sinha's 2001 film is built on guilt, obligation and a lie carried in silence, and across more than two and a half hours the tension is entirely about when the truth will be said. Our Turkish and English records place the events in different countries.
