David and Morten are two friends working at a gym in Oslo. Jarle, who owns the place, and his son Lars sell steroids out of it. David has two troubles at home: a father who is dying and a brother with Down syndrome. He needs money. One night something happens at the gym, and the story David tells and the story Morten tells are not the same. Aksel Hennie wrote, directed and starred in the film; it was his first feature and drew a lot of attention in Norway. The mould is crime drama but friendship is at its centre: how loyal can two men stay to each other, and if there is a price, who pays it? The story clears nobody. A hundred and three minutes. The film also shows the side of Oslo that does not get told, the small criminal order in ordinary neighbourhoods.
