What Untold Scandal Is About

Korea at the end of the eighteenth century, under the Joseon dynasty. Lady Cho points her kinsman Jo-won, a famous libertine, at the young virgin concubine her husband is about to bring into the house, and sets the terms: seduce the girl and she will sleep with him. Jo-won takes it on, and at the same time meets Lady Sook, a widow known for her piety, and something outside the calculation happens. A Korean adaptation of Choderlos de Laclos's Les Liaisons dangereuses. E J-yong directs, with Bae Yong-jun, Lee Mi-sook and Jeon Do-yeon. It is remembered for its period design and costumes as much as anything.
