Vera is a woman living in the shadow of her famous father, worn out by superficial relationships and by the empty rhythm of Roman high society. When she injures a child in a traffic accident on the outskirts of the city she forms an intense bond with the eight year old boy and his father, only to realise before long that here too she is an instrument in other people’s hands. Tizza Covi and Rainer Frimmel’s hundred and fifteen minute Austrian Italian co-production mixes fact and fiction: Vera Gemma plays a semi-fictional version of herself, and underneath the part lies the fact of being the daughter of the well known Italian actor Giuliano Gemma. The film won best director and best actress in the Orizzonti section at the Venice Film Festival in 2022.
