Vyasanasametham Bandhumithradhikal

Vipin S's 2025 Malayalam film follows a man who runs a shop in a small town. While his daughter's engagement is being prepared his mother-in-law dies suddenly; the two occasions fall on the same days and the family has to carry out both. The humour comes from that coincidence. Who will go where, which relative attends which ceremony and how the cost is to be divided form the body of the narrative; death and celebration stand side by side in the same house. The second line is the daughter's own decision. She begins questioning whether she wants the engagement and cannot find the right moment to say so; the film joins the two lines towards the end. Anaswara Rajan is in the cast. Who it's for: those who like Malayalam family comedy. Who it's not for: viewers expecting a dense plot; the film proceeds through everyday detail.
