Wagon Tracks

Buckskin Hamilton is an experienced scout. He rides to the Missouri River to meet his younger brother Billy. Billy has just finished his medical training. When Hamilton gets there he finds the boy dead. He is told that the shooting was an accident. Jane Washburn is named as the person who fired. Hamilton buries his brother. He is then hired to guide a wagon train heading west. Jane and the Washburn family are in that same train. The road runs across the wasteland. Hamilton looks after the pioneers he is escorting and leaves nobody behind. At the same time he is working on his brother’s death. He senses that what he was told is not the truth. The killer is travelling with this very group. The witnesses and the suspects are on the same road. The silent film joins a western to an investigation. William S. Hart and Jane Novak appear in the sixty eight minute film, an American production Lambert Hillyer finished in 1919.
