What Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale - Part 2: The Rainbow Bridge Is About
After the uprising at Wushe the Japanese army moves into the mountains and Mona Rudao's men are forced into a guerrilla war against a far stronger force. The second part is mainly about the cost: the Japanese use rival Seediq groups on their own side, so the people end up fighting their own relations; women take their own lives to free the men to fight; and gas is dropped on the mountains. The summary explains this with cruel traders, when the power on the other side was the Japanese colonial administration. It does not work without part one.
