What a Wonderful World

April 2009, Chisinau. People are gathering in the streets; the call has spread through social networks. The demonstrations are against the claim that the election results were falsified. The crowd goes into the parliament and presidential buildings and things are carried out of them. A twenty two year old who has spent two years studying in Boston is visiting Moldova at that moment. Carrying his own computer monitor home from a friend’s flat, he is taken for a demonstrator. The police beat him badly and take him to the station. His questioning is conducted by an experienced major. The film is based on real events and asks questions about freedom and justice. Anatol Durbală directed the seventy three minute Moldovan film of 2014.
