What Now? Remind Me

Joaquim Pinto has been living with HIV for close to twenty years. He has hepatitis C as well. The documentary records a single year. In that year he takes part in clinical studies. The drugs used in them are not yet approved. They are harsh and they affect the mind. Pinto films it the way one keeps a notebook. The account turns on time and on memory. Epidemics and globalisation are spoken of too. It is the story of a survival nobody expected. The present and the past keep changing places. The film remembers friends who have died. Room is left for those who remain. Pinto and Nuno Leonel appear in the hundred and sixty four minute documentary, a Spanish and Portuguese coproduction Joaquim Pinto made in 2014.
