Wirecard: The Billion Euro Lie

The documentary is about the company Wirecard. The firm worked in payment technology. In Germany it was taken for a company of the future. Its value on the market grew quickly. By 2019 it stood high enough to be named beside Deutsche Bank. But there was a problem in the accounts. Journalists asked questions for years. The company rejected those questions. In June 2020 the hole in the books came out. The missing sum ran into billions of euros. The company collapsed in a short time. Reporters and former employees speak in the documentary. Pav Gill and Jorn Leogrande appear in the ninety eight minute documentary. Benji Bergmann and Jono Bergmann directed it, an Australian, German, Singaporean and British coproduction of 2021.
