You Go To My Head

After a car accident in the desert, Dafne loses her memory. What she has is amnesia following the trauma. The first person she sees when she comes round is Jake. Jake tells her that he is her husband. From there the film works on the gap between what the viewer knows and what the woman knows. A person leaving her own past in someone else’s telling is the real subject. The emptiness of the desert sets the air of the story. The account moves with few words and at a slow pace. Delfine Bafort and Svetozar Cvetković appear in Dimitri de Clercq’s hundred and sixteen minute film, a joint Belgian, French and German production, completed in 2017.
