What Yrrol: An Enormously Well Thought Out Movie Is About
A sketch film: short unconnected pieces one after another, mixing black comedy, smut and jokes aimed at what Sweden was arguing about at the time. Peter Dalle directs and appears in it, alongside Suzanne Reuter, Ulla Skoog, Claes Månsson and Johan Ulveson, names that came out of the Swedish television sketch tradition. A bartender, a double coffin, a violent flight attendant, a blind television salesman, and the pace never lets up. Not every sketch lands, and the ones that do land hard, which is what sketch films are. A good cross-section of what Sweden was laughing at in 1994.
