What Zanetti Story Is About
Javier Zanetti left Buenos Aires in 1995, still a young man, went to Inter and stayed there. Over the years great players arrived at the club and left without winning anything; Zanetti kept working as he had on the first day, and at forty he won what no other captain in Inter’s history had won. The documentary builds the story out of the voices of teammates, coaches, journalists and public figures, with José Mourinho, Lionel Messi, Roberto Baggio and Esteban Cambiasso speaking. The narrator is the Argentine writer Albino Guarón, who dedicated his last novel to Zanetti. Carlo A. Sigon and Simone Scafidi directed and it opened on 27 February 2015. In the record’s summary the spaces after several commas have dropped out and words are run together.
