Kyra Sedgwick

Kyra Sedgwick played Linda Powell in Cameron Crowe's Singles, with Bridget Fonda and Campbell Scott in the film's other leading parts. Crowe had put the story together in 1983 and the film was planned to shoot in Phoenix in 1985; when the project came back to life years later, the idea of moving the setting to Seattle is credited to Warner Bros. After preview audiences found the reason for Steve and Linda's separation hard to follow, Crowe pressed for reshoots, and those were done in Seattle at the start of January 1992. Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July and Mr. & Mrs. Bridge, from the Merchant Ivory partnership, are her other films here. Her lead in Cavedweller made her a female lead nominee at Independent Spirit's 2005 ceremony.
