100 Days with Tata

During the pandemic an actor spends more than a hundred days in a small flat with his ninety five year old grandmother and records those days. At the start the recording is like keeping a diary; then what she says, her habits and her humour become the film itself. In the meantime the old woman becomes known on social media, and that is how the outside enters the home where they are shut in. The film tells the quarantine not as a story of hardship but as a chance for two generations to be together that they had not had for a long time. That the person holding the camera is a member of the family is at once the most intimate and the most fragile part of the film. Miguel Angel Munoz’s eighty two minute Spanish documentary was completed in 2021.
