What 9/11: The Twin Towers Is About
The documentary builds what happened inside the Twin Towers on the eleventh of September minute by minute, from the first plane striking the north tower to the collapse of the buildings. The account rests on what the workers and rescue crews who were there have said themselves; the reconstructions and computer images are used to follow those accounts. The film does not turn the event into a spectacle; it follows what people knew and did not know across those hours. Most of the people inside only learned what had happened afterwards. The account does not argue about the causes of the event or the politics that came after it; it stays within the hours that passed inside those buildings. Richard Dale’s ninety eight minute documentary was completed in 2006.
