What A Family Is About
Ditte runs a gallery in Copenhagen; she is with a man she loves and the job she has dreamed of in New York is in front of her. But she is also the last generation of a famous family of bakers, and her father, a man she loves deeply and who rules over her, falls gravely ill. Ditte has to choose between her own life and carrying on the business her father will leave, and nobody makes that decision any easier for her. The bakery itself stands in the film almost as a character. Lene Maria Christensen and Jesper Christensen appear in Pernille Fischer Christensen’s hundred and two minute Danish film.
