Three cousins who grew up together move from Kerala to Bangalore. Kuttan has a good job and cannot settle in the city, Divya marries a stranger at her family's insistence and relocates, Aju repairs motorbikes and takes nothing seriously. The city changes all three. Anjali Menon wrote and directed. The cast includes Nivin Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya Nazim, Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Nithya Menen. It became one of the most watched examples of what Malayalam cinema calls its new generation wave, with leaving Kerala at its centre. The story runs three strands in parallel and puts none ahead of the others; three separate crises carry equal weight. Divya's marriage is the most carefully handled section: the failure of an arranged match is told not as drama but as quiet incompatibility. Gopi Sundar wrote the music and the songs were played in Kerala for a long time. Who it is for: viewers who like Indian youth drama and city stories.
