A Feast at Midnight

Magnus has just arrived at a boarding school. His father is abroad recovering from an illness. The boy is quiet and homesick. He has no interest in sport either. The older boys at the school will not leave him alone. The strict routine and the tasteless meals make it all harder. His father sends him recipes by letter. Magnus finds an idea in those recipes. He falls in with the other misfits at the school. Together with Goff and Tava he sets up a secret cooking club. After lights out they go down to the forbidden kitchen. They lay out feasts at midnight and make elaborate puddings. The secret business gives them a friendship. The real danger is the housemaster they call Raptor. He is the man everyone at the school is afraid of. Christopher Lee and Freddie Findlay appear in the hundred and seven minute film, a British production Justin Hardy finished in 1994.
