A Movie of Eggs

An egg that escapes before being cracked tries to get back to the farm where it came from. A talking tomato joins it on the way. The film keeps the road structure and builds its humour on regional speech and wordplay. The narrative is kept simple; the appeal is in the character design and the voice work. Rodolfo Riva Palacio Alatriste and Gabriel Riva Palacio Alatriste directed. It is a Mexican animation that grew into a long-running series there. Who it's for: children and viewers familiar with Spanish-language humour. Who it's not for: adults watching with subtitles; most of the jokes depend on the language and are lost in translation.
