What A Noble Lie: Oklahoma City 1995 Is About
The documentary takes up the bombing that destroyed the Alfred P. Murrah federal building in Oklahoma City on the morning of 19 April 1995 and killed a hundred and sixty eight people. Presenting itself as the result of years of work by independent journalists, scholars and ordinary citizens, the film argues that the official account is incomplete, that there were co-conspirators who were never named, or that additional explosives were placed inside the building. Those are the film’s claims; in the courts Timothy McVeigh was convicted and executed and Terry Nichols was sentenced to life, and the John Doe 2 description at the centre of these theories was identified by the Justice Department as a soldier with no connection to the attack. James Lane released the film in 2012.
