What A Quiet Dream Is About
Ye-ri runs a bar and looks after her father, who is paralysed and unconscious. Three men come in every day, all of them taken with her; she has no preference and finds the three of them equally sweet. Zhang Lu's real idea is in the casting: the three men are played by three Korean directors, each reprising the character from his own first film. Yang Ik-june is the former small time gangster, Park Jung-bum the withdrawn defector from the North, Yoon Jong-bin the milk drinking epileptic. Han Ye-ri plays Ye-ri. The film opened the Busan International Film Festival in 2016.
