What After Midnight Is About

Martino is the night watchman at the film museum inside the Mole Antonelliana in Turin. He sleeps during the day and spends his nights alone in that enormous empty building watching old films. One night Amanda turns up at the door, running from the police and looking for somewhere to hide. She stays in the museum. Outside there is Amanda's boyfriend Angelo, who is not at all pleased about the arrangement. Davide Ferrario shot almost the whole film inside that building. Clips from silent cinema, intertitles and a narrator's voice build the film's own form. It sets a love of cinema inside a love triangle.
