In a Dhaka torn by war, a middle class family shelters a freedom fighter in their home. At the centre of the film is not the fighting but the days inside that house: fear, the possibility of a knock at the door, and the division within the family itself. The account does not give the war as a scene of heroism; it shows the risk civilians take and how it is argued over at home. The view of the young woman in the house forms the story’s second line. The film does not close its ending as a victory. It came to be counted among the known works of Bangladeshi cinema about this period. Asaduzzaman Noor and Bipasha Hayat appear in Humayun Ahmed’s hundred and twenty three minute Bengali language film, completed in 1995.
