Airport 2013

The story takes place at an airport. The place is Matsumoto Airport in Nagano. Weather keeps a plane from landing at Haneda. It is diverted here instead. Among the passengers is the Tanokura family. The family has troubles of its own. Chikusa, a member of the ground staff, is put in charge of them. As the wait goes on, other people are drawn in. Family ties and love affairs come out into the open. Things that had been kept quiet start to be said. The film runs a hundred minutes in a single take, with the camera never stopping. It is the director’s second piece in this form, after one made in 2011. It went out on television in December 2013. Yuko Takeuchi, Erika Toda, Joe Odagiri and Katsuhisa Namase appear in the hundred minute film, written and directed by Koki Mitani, a Japanese production.
