What Journey on a Clock Hand Is About
A watchmaker travels to a small town to repair a clock tower that has not run for years. What looks like a simple job soon turns into something else: he meets a woman called Esra and a closeness grows between them, and then he is drawn into a murder committed nearby. There is a body that disappears and a past nobody will tell in full. The film gathers time, memory and a stopped clock into the same image. The account does not close the mystery into a single answer; it leaves the question of what the town is hiding standing. Mehmet Aslantug and Sahika Tekand appear in Omer Kavur’s hundred and eighteen minute film, completed in 1997.
