All Cats Are Grey

Paul is forty three, a well meaning amateur detective. He quotes Sherlock Holmes and watches crime shows on television. Dorothy is sixteen, the daughter of an upper class family. She dresses punk and hates her mother. One thing alone ties the two of them together: Paul knows he is her father. For years he has watched her from a distance and never gone near. Their paths cross only when Dorothy hears about the amateur detective. What she wants is to find her father. The film builds all this without making Paul either a hero or a threat. Manon Capelle and Bouli Lanners appear in Savina Dellicour’s Belgian film of 2014, ninety minutes long.
